Is a CZ bolt action .223 iron sights a good survival rifle?

It has, I think a 5 shot clip, + 1 in the chamber, iron sights. I could stock pile about 100-150 rounds to supply on a trip. I thought iron sights would be better than a scope just for weight reasons, and adjusting it, and just waisting ammo on re-adjusting the sights, and making unneeded noise, and then just waisting money buying the scope.
