Can my children come to a funeral with me?

Ok so I had a friend that I was very close to for many years...certain circumstances made talk less frequently(she got into drugs, I didn't like her choices and so on)she overdosed 3 days ago and her funeral is on saturday and have no one to watch my children, they are 2yrs and 9months. I don't think my oldest would really be affected by being there. It would really hurt me not to be able to go, for years we were like sisters. I just didn't know if it would be wrong to bring children to a funeral. Please help me!
